Your Options For Disney Cruise Vacation Packages

By Janet Wright

When people think of a vacation they can take the family on, a cruise is generally one of the things that comes to mind. If you specifically pick a Disney one, you can expect lots of fun for kids with character interactions and special shows that are only available on the ship. Parents can entrust the kids to staff and go off on their own to enjoy some much-needed alone time. Book Disney cruise vacation packages today for all this and much more.

You have lots of options, depending on how close you live to the nearest port. If opting to drive, your package may consist of the cruise and a rental car. If not, then an airline ticket will be tacked on instead. You may need to stay overnight the day before. If so, then a night's stay at a local hotel is in order.

When you do need to stay overnight the day before the cruise starts, you can choose from many different types of hotels. Some are basic, with bare amenities and no frills. This allows you to save money. However, if you really want to go all out, you can instead choose a fancy hotel with all the amenities and creature comforts so it feels like you are being pampered before you even start your vacation officially.

If you live in the United States, then you can leave out of multiple ports, depending on which countries you wish to travel to. For example, a popular one is leaving out of Galveston, Texas. This means you can go to the western Caribbean and perhaps Mexico on your trip. If you were to leave out of Florida instead, you may be able to visit the eastern Caribbean and even Disney's private island where no other ships are allowed to go.

Instead of leaving out of the United States, there are some itineraries that leave out of Europe, necessitating an overseas flight. After you arrive, there is often a welcome party that you get to attend, letting you start your vacation a day early. You also get to explore great cities without booking multiple trip legs.

The food is one of the main attractions with Disney, because they go all out to ensure you get world class cooking. This is covered in the cost of the trip, as well as most nonalcoholic beverages. Adult beverages cost extra if you want them.

While entertainment such as shows and music are also included, there are a few features that, like the alcohol, must be purchased separately. One of them is spa services, of which there are many. You will have to pay separately if you want a massage or facial.

Most taxes and gratuities are added onto your final bill during the cruise, but you can prepay them in advance instead. If you do this, then all you have to pay for is additional services and any souvenirs you buy onboard.

Some people may think that their dream family trip is out of reach, but that simply isn't true with Disney cruises. Your dream can become a memorable and affordable reality.
